Basil Chicken

Restaurant style Thai Basil Chicken, follow the exact recipe and you will get the taste you get at the restaurants.

Ingredients for Basil Chicken:

Chicken thigh meat – 1 lb. sliced
Spring Onion stalks – 4-5 chopped
Thai Basil – handful
Garlic – 10 cloves
Red Thai Chili – 4-6 (adjust as per taste)
Oyster Sauce – 1 ½ Tbsp
Dark Soy Sauce – 1 Tbsp
Brown Sugar – 2 Tsp
Salt – to taste
Vegetable Oil– 3 Tbsp

Method:

1.    Heat 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil in a wok on high heat.
2.    Add crushed Garlic and Red Thai chillis.
TIP: Adjust the number of Red Thai Chillis as per your taste.
3.    Now add sliced chicken thigh meat and Salt to taste.
TIP: Be careful while adding salt, the sauces have salt as well.
4.    Stir around for 5-6 minutes.
5.    Add 1 ½ Tbsp Oyster Sauce, 1 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce, 2 Tsp Brown Sugar and stir around for 7-8 minutes or until everything dries up.
6.    Finally add Fresh Thai Basil and chopped Green Onion Stalks.
7.    Serve with plain white rice and top it with a fried egg!
