Bread Roll

Toddler approved snack, Bread Rolls! My toddler totally loved this crispy bread roll and the best part about this recipe is that it can be made in a jiffy.

Ingredients for Bread Roll:

Small Potatoes – 8 nos. boiled and mashed
Green peas (frozen)– ½ Cup
Corn (frozen) – ½ Cup
Oil – 2 Tbsp
Cumin seeds – ½ Tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – ½ Tbsp
Kitchen King Masala – 1 Tsp (Optional)
Black Pepper Powder – ½ Tsp
Anardana Powder – ½ Tsp (Optional)
Amchur Powder – ½ Tsp
Salt – 2 Tsp
Cilantro – chopped for garnish
Oil for frying
Bread slices – 3-4
Finely chopped Green Chilli or red pepper flakes – as per taste

Method:
1. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a wide pan.
2. Add cumin seeds, after they crackle, add ginger-garlic paste and stir well.
3. Now add frozen green peas and corn. Mix well.
4. Add Kitchen king masala, black pepper powder, anardana powder, amchur powder and salt. Mix well. At this point feel free to add chopped green chillies or crushed red pepper flakes if you want to make it spicy.
5. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Once the green peas and corn are cooked, add boiled and mashed potatoes. Mix well.
7. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
8. Finally add chopped cilantro. Mix well and keep aside.
9. Slice off the sides of the bread slices.
10. Take some water in a bowl. Dip a slice of bread in water and squeeze out any excess water pressing between your palms.
11. Place a small ball of potato mixture on the moist bread slice and cover all sides shaping into a small ball.
12. Heat oil for deep-frying on high heat.
13. Fry the balls in hot oil until lightly brown.
14. Serve hot!

Happy Cooking! ☺
