Chicken Lasagna

Chicken Lasagna: One of my family’s favorite meal with rich tomato meat sauce, creamy béchamel sauce and lots of cheese!

Ingredients for Meat Sauce:

Chicken Mince – 250 gms
Olive Oil – 2 Tbsp
Garlic – 2 cloves minced
Onion – 1 small finely chopped
Tomato sauce – 1 jar, about 6 cups
Salt – 1 Tsp
Dried basil – 1 Tsp
Dried Oregano – 1 Tsp
Chicken Bouillon – 1
Water – 1 Cup

Ingredients for Béchamel sauce:

Butter – 3 Tbsp
All purpose flour – 3 Tbsp
Milk – 3 Cups
Salt & Pepper – to taste
Parmesan Cheese – 1/2 Cup
Chicken Bouillon – 1

Ingredients for Assembling:

No Boil Lasagna sheets – 12
Shredded Mozarella Cheese – 1 Cup
Shredded Parmesan Cheese – 1/2 Cup
Dried Parsley – 1 Tsp

Method:

1. Heat olive oil on medium heat. Add chopped garlic and onion, sauté well. Add salt.
2. Now add chicken mince, sauté until it turns white.
3. Add basil and oregano, mix well.
4. Add Tomato sauce, water and 1 chicken bouillon.
5. Cover & cook for 15 minutes and the meat sauce is ready. Keep aside.
6. Heat butter in another pan. Add flour and stir well.
7. Now slowly add milk and keep stirring to prevent forming lumps.
8. Add chicken bouillon, salt and pepper to taste.
9. Add parmesan cheese, bring it to a boil. Keep aside.
10. Now brush a baking pan with olive oil.
11. Add a layer of meat sauce, top it with no boil lasagna sheets, béchamel sauce, shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
12. Now add another layer of no boil lasagna sheets, meat sauce, béchamel sauce, shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
13. Sprinkle dried parsley and cover it with a foil.
14. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C or 400°F for 45 minutes.
15. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
16. Rest it for 15 minutes before serving.
