Gujarati style Cabbage Potato Sabzi

Gujarati style Cabbage Potato Sabzi, very simple and easy to make.

Ingredients for Cabbage Potato Sabzi:

Oil – 3 Tbsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ Tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ Tsp
Asafoetida – 1.4 Tsp
Turmeric – ½ Tsp
Red Chilli Powder – ½ Tbsp
Coriander Cumin Powder – ½ Tbsp
Salt – ½ tbsp
Water – ½ Cup
Potato – 1 cubed
Tomato – 1 finely chopped
Cabbage – 250 grams thinly sliced
Cilantro – a handful chopped

Method:

1. Heat oil on high heat. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add turmeric, salt and potatoes. Add ½ cup water.
2. Cover & cook potatoes on a medium heat for 5 minutes.
3. Now add thinly sliced cabbage, red chilly powder and coriander-cumin powder.
4. Cover & cook for 5-6 minutes.
5. Now add chopped tomato and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
6. Add chopped cilantro and serve hot with chapatis/rotis.
