French Beans Sabzi

Easy to make French Beans sabzi to be served hot with chapatis or plain dal and rice.

Ingredients for French Beans Sabzi:

Oil – 2-3 Tbsp
Asafoetida – a pinch
Cumin – 1 Tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1 Tsp
French Beans – 300 grams washed & chopped
Potato – 1 medium cubed
Green Chillis – 2 nos
Curry Leaves – 5-6 leaves
Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
Turmeric – ½ Tsp
Coriander-Cumin Powder – 1 Tsp
Garam Masala – ¼ Tsp
Salt – 1 Tsp or to taste
Water – ¼ Cup
Cilantro – handful chopped to garnish

Method:

1.    Heat oil on high heat, add asafoetida, cumin and mustard seeds, let it splutter.
2.    Now add washed and chopped French beans.
3.    Add green chillies and curry leaves.
4.    Now add red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander-cumin powder, garam masala, salt and cubed potatoes. Mix well.
5.    Reduce heat to medium, add water and cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or until done.
6.    Add chopped cilantro and stir well.
7.    Serve hot with chapatis or plain dal and rice.
