Hariyali Chicken

Have you tried Hariyali Chicken? A combination of cilantro and mint gives a flavorful twist to this chicken curry and look at that vibrant green color!

Ingredients for Chicken Masala Curry:

Oil – 3 Tbsp
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Salt – 1 Tsp
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 Tbsp
Coriander Cumin Powder – 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp
Red chilly powder – 1 Tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1 Tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 Tsp
Chicken – 500-600 grams
Water – 1 Cup
Chopped Cilantro – handful chopped
Tomato – 1 finely chopped
Curry leaves – 7-8 leaves(Optional)

Method:

1. Heat oil on high heat in a pan.
2. Add chopped onions, salt, ginger garlic paste and sauté until translucent.
3. Now add coriander-cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, black pepper powder & garam masala powder. Mix well.
4. Now add chicken and mix well to coat all the spices.
5. Add chopped cilantro.
6. Add water, cover & cook for about 5-7 minutes on high heat.
7. Open the cover & add chopped tomato.
8. Cook for 7-8 minutes on high heat.
9. Add curry leaves and chopped cilantro.
10. Mix well & serve hot with rice or chapatis/rotis.
