Ginger & Cardamom Tea/ Adrak & Elachi Chai

The good ol’ chai! Every family has a different version to prepare tea, this is how tea is prepared in my family. Many others also add cinnamon or black pepper to it.

Ingredients for Ginger & Cardamom Tea/ Adrak & Elachi Chai:

Milk – 1 Cup
Water – ¼ Cup
Tealeaves – 2 Tsp
Sugar – 1 ½ Tbsp
Ginger – 1 inch piece crushed
Cardamom – 3-4

Method:
1. Crush ginger and cardamom and keep aside.
2. Take milk in a pot, add tea leaves, crushed ginger & cardamom and sugar.
3. Simmer on medium heat for about 5 minutes and bring to a boil.
4. Strain & Serve hot!
