Gobhi Manchurian / Cauliflower Manchurian

Indo-Chinese Gobi Manchurian/ Cauliflower Manchurian from Ladles and Leaves kitchen today!

Ingredients for Gobhi Manchurian/ Cauliflower Manchurian:

Cauliflower florets – 250 grams
White pepper powder – ¼ Tsp
Corn flour – 2 Tbsp + ½ Tbsp for corn flour slurry
Maida/all purpose flour – 2 Tbsp
Salt – ½ Tsp
Red Pepper flakes – ¼ Tsp
Ginger garlic Paste – ¼ Tsp
Ginger – 1 Tbsp finely chopped
Garlic – 1 Tbsp finely chopped
Green chilly – 1 finely chopped
Vinegar – 1 Tsp
Tomato ketchup – 1 Tbsp
Dark Soy sauce – 1 Tsp
Red Chilly sauce – 1 Tsp
Water – 4 cups for boiling + ¼ cup
Oil – for deep frying

Method:

1. Boil water in a pot
2. Add cauliflower florets, cover & cook for 2 minutes. Strain and rinse with cold water.
3. Now take the cauliflower florets in a mixing bowl.
4. Add white pepper powder, corn flour, maida, salt, red pepper flakes and ginger garlic paste. Mix well until all the florets are coated.
5. Deep fry in oil on medium heat.
6. Keep the crunchy cauliflower aside.
7. Heat oil in a wok. Add chopped garlic, ginger & green chilly, mix well.
8. Now add vinegar, tomato ketchup, dark soy sauce, red chilly sauce and water. Mix well.
9. Mix corn flour with water to make corn flour slurry.
10. Add corn flour slurry to the mixture.
11. Add the fried cauliflower florets and mix well.
12. Serve hot!
