Sheer Khurma

When it’s time to Celebrate or satisfy a sweet tooth, Sheer Khurma is a perfect, rich, delicious and extremely easy to make recipe which will leave your loved ones asking for more!

Ingredients for Sheer Khurma:

Thin Vermicelli – ½ Cup
Slivered Almonds – 5-6
Pistachios – 5-6 sliced
Dates – 5-6 sliced
Full fat Milk – 750ml (2 ¼ cup)
Sugar – 2 Tbsp
Ghee – 2 Tbsp
Cardamom powder – ¼ Tsp
Saffron – a pinch dissolved in milk

Method:

1. Heat ghee in a pan on medium heat.
2. Roast sliced almonds, pistachios & raisins until slightly brown & keep aside.
3. Heat ghee in the same pan and roast the vermicelli until slightly brown & keep aside.
4. Heat milk in a deep pot for about 4-5 minutes.
5. Now add chopped dates & cook for about 5 minutes.
6. Now add roasted nuts, vermicelli, sugar, saffron dissolved in milk & cardamom powder.
7. Simmer for 6-8 minutes & bring to boil.
8. Serve warm or cold garnished with sliced almonds, pistachios and silver leaf (silver vark)
